When it tells you it can't find a compatible graphics card, it's because the game doesn't recognize newer cards. Use the Graphics Rules Maker and follow the instructions on the website. That will allow your game to read and understand what graphics card you have. Also apply the 4GB Patch.
I've added -w to the file path (if I don't do this I get a Directx error), followed multiple tutorials for changing the Graphics Rule settings, and currently I'm using Graphics Rules Maker with the recommended forced texture memory under Device Info. Absolutely no difference, no matter what I try the only resolution option ingame is 800x600.
